THE UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO COLLEGE OF LAW is taking applications for a temporary writing instructor for the 2006/07 academic year, teaching research, writing, and advocacy skills. Applicants should have a strong academic record from an ABA accredited law school, superior writing ability, and at least 2 years of practice experience. Interested persons should send a letter, writing sample, and resume listing three references to Laurie O’Neal, Chair, Search Committee, University of Idaho College of Law, Moscow, ID 83844-2321. Application deadline is March 31st.
1. This is a one-year contract, technically considered visiting. The school may continue to need this position filled and will only be able to determine that on a yearly basis. (This is the second year the school has had this position.)
2. The professor hired will not be permitted to vote in faculty meetings.
3. The school anticipates paying an annual academic year base salary in the range of $41,000.
4. The number of students enrolled in each semester of the courses taught by the legal research & writing professor will be about 40.
