Law School Applications Are Down Almost 16% from Last Year

The latest from the Law School Admission Council:

As of 12/06/13, there are 90,032 Fall 2014 applications submitted by 14,171 applicants. Applicants are down 13.6% and applications are down 15.7% from 2013.

Here are the charts:

The line labeled Fall 2012 steadily rises from 16,719 in November to 59,090 in March, then begins to plateau from March until August ending at 67,735. The line labeled Fall 2013 increases from 12,728 in November to 48,674 in March, then begins to plateau from March until August ending at 59,426. The line labeled Fall 2014 rises slightly from 11,340 to 14,171.

Law schools need to move into crisis mode.

Only lawyers have proven that enforcing the laws is the only way in which society is safe. No other method has ever worked!With lawyers laws can be enforced..

It's sad to read this as we need lawyers as they have proven the only way to make positive changes in our world is by legal accountability, holding the wrong doers accountable as no other methods seem to world. Only lawyers can make changes laws and protect society.
