The September edition of the ABA Student Lawyer blog asked several experts to provide technology tips specifically directed at law students. First off, legal technology guru Tom Mighell reminds students that the ABA now considers proficiency with technology one of the professional duties of being a lawyer under the Model Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1, comment 8. Allison Shields of Legal Ease Consulting offers students some tech tips for syncing class notes among all your electronic devices as well as raising awareness about the desirability of building a professional online presence while you're still in law school. And solo practitioner Marc Matheny tells students to be sure to enroll in a Law Practice Management course since knowing the "business" of practicing law is just as important as your substantive knowledge of the law. Check out those and many more tech tips geared specifically for law students here.
