No License In Ohio

A Massachusetts attorney who engaged in legal business in Ohio was suspended for six months by a single justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

In addition to engaging in unauthorized practice on behalf of approximately 137 clients seeking relief from residential mortgage loans, the attorney also was convicted in Ohio of four misdemeanors that involved reckless driving and possession of marijuana.

He returned fees to all clients who asked for a refund after the unauthorized practice came to the attention of the Ohio Attorney General.

He failed to report the convictions to Bar Counsel but entered a rehab program in 2011. (Mike Frisch)
