A Repugnant Task

The full text of a public reprimand issued by the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board is posted on the board's web page.

Apparently, the attorney had to actually appear and have the reprimand read to him.

It begins:

[Mr. Attorney], you stand before the Disciplinary Board, your professional peers and members of the public for the imposition of a Public Reprimand. It is an unpleasant task to publicly reprimand one who has been granted the privilege of membership in the bar of this Commonwealth. Yet as repugnant as this task may be, it has been deemed necessary that you receive this public discipline.

The attorney had failed to act in a matter even after a letter of caution and an informal admonition in the estate matter. (Mike Frisch)
