The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board has recommended a year and a day suspension for an attorney's criminal conviction and failure to respond in the bar case.
The criminal matters were brought to the bar's attention by the attorney's "former tenant/roommate."
The attorney was convicted of driving under the influence after a high-speed chase from Mississippi to Louisiana:
As police units followed Respondent with lights and sirens on, she traveled in and out of traffic at speeds up to 80 miles per hour and ran other vehicles off the road.
Her blood alcohol content was 0.000g% and the police suspected drug use. The attorney refused to provide a urine sample.
She pleaded guilty and has since violated probationary conditions imposed. (Mike Frisch)
