Expert Witness Sanction Report Posted

We recently reported that a disciplinary sanction of a public reprimand with terms had been imposed in Virginia against an attorney for misconduct in testimony as an expert witness. The order has now been posted and is linked here.

The testimony was offered in a practicioner disciplinary hearing before the Board of Immigration Appeals during the cross-examination by the Bar Counsel for the Department of Justice, Executive Office of Immigration Review, Board of Immigration Appeals. The transcript of the questions and answers is attached to the determination. An objection to the line of questioning concerning bar complaints against the witness had been made and was overruled.
