"Especially Egregious"

The Maryland Court of Appeals disbarred an attorney who had failed to participate in the disciplinary proceeding. The court found that there was substantial evidence to support the findings below of repeated and intentional misappropriation of entrusted funds. Intentional misappropriation was deemed here to be "especially egregious" because the conduct  was also "infected with deceit and dishonesty."
