In Favor Of Screening

The Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers ("APRL") has issued a statement in support of the recent ABA proposals favoring screening of lateral lawyers as a solution to imputed conflicts under Model Rule 1.10. The statements notes that "more than a few APRL members would oppose (and are actively opposing) the proposed amendment" and that "[i]t is important to note...that the proposed Rule 1.10 would not disturb the current regime at the extremes."
