Taken Out of Context

Reuters report out of Poland, via TPM:

A right-wing Polish MP has dubbed Obama's election "the end of white man's civilization," and declared that "al Qaeda are rubbing their hands with glee." He later said his remarks were not meant to be taken as racist.

Yeah, what kind of gotcha media would contort the remarks to take it that way?

"The black messiah of the new left has crushed the Republican candidate John McCain, and America will soon pay a high price for this quirk of democracy," he added.

Ah, that clears things up.
