Judicial Speech

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court seeks comments on proposed revisions of its Code of Judicial Conduct as it pertains to public comments by judges. If adopted, the new rule will (among other things) allow a judge greater freedom to respond to criticism and to participate in educational activities.
