A Pearl Of Wisdom
Not a legal profession case, but it is hard to resist commenting on a decision that opens with this eye-catching line: "No one wants to live near a hog confinement operation." The Iowa Supreme Court denied injunctive relief to the soon-to-be neighbors, noting that it does not act as a zoning board and that the plaintiffs had failed to meet the standards for anticipatory nuisance.
