The More Things Change, the More They Are Not the Same

Last week I posted on an old Time article on the AALS annual meeting, discussing legal ethics in 1964.  The discourse sounded awfully familiar to our "modern" ears.  But some things really do change.  Here is a site posting the top ten creepiest old advertisements, two of which I depict here (HT to Electronic Ephemera).   The really, really creepiest one, not posted here, is a newspaper ad from 1979 by Pakistan Airlines.  You will not believe it.A147_a9
