Federal Judicial Discipline
HALT has issued comments on proposed reforms of the system for regulation of federal judges. The comments call for a more transparent regulatory regime, including proposals that would abolish private sanctions, provide for lay participation in judicial misconduct proceedings, open hearings and an end to rules that prevent complainants from public disclosure of proceedings.
