Avoiding/Dealing with Bar Complaints
Attached is a link to a guest post I did at the request of Susan Cartier Liebel on tips to avoid bar complaints and dealing with complaints filed against a lawyer. My experience is that lawyers who engage in a litigation oriented practice representing individual clients will likely encounter a bar investigation during the course of their career. Hopefully there is something of value in my thoughts on avoiding such complaints and dealing with this unpleasant problem when one gets that dreaded letter marked "Confidential" from the Bar Counsel.
