On Social Media and "Turdles"
I signed up for a Facebook account way back when just to see what it took to do so and would kill it if I ever remember my login. My blanket apology for not "frending folks" was published here. Had a Twitter account, too, again established just to see what it took. Never posted a tweet and had to kill it when someone informed me it had been hacked. There's nothing wrong with either or both; I just already have too much "social media" in my life.
The only person I know whose social media enthusiasm may be less than mine in terms of participation is LLB's co-editor, Mark Giangrande.Recently Mark announced he joined Google+, (!!!). He promised not to update it with how many times he cleaned the catbox. Hey, Mark's got a bunch of cats!
I've got four dogs, three, all females, know how to tell me they want to get out of the house and go to the backyard to poop and pee. One, the solo male whose name is Sammy, only does so when he wants to pee (read mark his territory). Luckily he is a the smallest member of the pack. The Blog Widow calls his poop droppings in our house (always near where I sit to write blog posts!), "turdles." Editorial comment? By the Blog Widow? By Sammy?
Well, I won't be joining Google+ like Mark has. But my definition of social media may be broader than his. Unless I am expecting so sort of business-related phone call, I don't even answer the land line or my moble phone unless it is from a member of the family or a someone I've known for 30-or-so years. ROFL. Nailed it. Especially timely with the Zuckerberg wizardry making ridiculous ammounts of change to privacy settings to such an nth degree, I and MANY others are exploring things like Diapora, Pearltrees and the Yoono add-on for FireFox.
I have given up on Google circles.

Wow, hacked your twitter account. I had my emails and facebook accounts hacked and sending messages to friends, family and customers pointing them to porn sites. It was hard trying to explain what had happened to customers, family and friends. By the way I have 2 cats, male and female. Sorry, just thought I would throw that in. Thanks for the article.
