Overdrive's eBook & Digital Content Distribution Shifts into Fifth Gear
In 2010, a record 185,000 eBook, audiobook, music, and video titles were added to OverDrive's catalog, which features one of the world's largest collections of industry standard EPUB eBooks. According to this press release, Overdrive eBook checkouts increased 200 percent, audiobook checkouts up 53 percent, in 2010. Some key stats:
- 718 million book and title catalog pages viewed
- 15 million digital titles checked out
- 6.6 billion minutes of spoken word audio downloaded
- 400,000 copyrighted eBook, audiobook, music, and video titles available to libraries
