Blind Students Sue Law Schools Over Online Applications
The National Federation for the Blind and a small group of students who have applied to law schools or are considering applying to law schools have filed suit against four California law schools. They allege that the Law School Admissions Council's (LSAC) application process, either required or strongly encouraged by most law schools, is not conducive to the needs of blind applicants who are unable to navigate the site independently because the applications cannot be converted to synthesized speech or braille.
