IALL Meeting in The Hague/Rotterdam
The International Association of Law Libraries's (IALL) 29th annual course on international law librarianship will be held in The Hague/Rotterdam, Sep. 5-8, 2010. Titled "Dutch Gateways to International Law," it will examine: (1) the broad reach of international law; (2) the role of The Hague as the world capital of international law and the evolution of international law; and (3) tolerance in legal systems as shown by Dutch law. Registration opened recently. Unfortunately, I cannot attend due to personal and work commitments that require my presence in the USA during the course. (Three bursaries are available for persons who can attend to attend. Click here for details.) But I did attend IALL's 26th annual course held in Mumbai, India, in 2007 along with around 100 other law librarians from all over the world. I learned much and was impressed greatly with the course host, organizers, and participants. I am confident that this year's course will be just as instructive and impressive.
