Opening: Access & Public Services Librarian, Texas Wesleyan
The Dee J. Kelly Law Library at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law is re-opening its search for an Access & Public Services Librarian [complete job description]
DESCRIPTION: The Access & Public Services Librarian is responsible for providing reference services to the law school community, including students, faculty, attorneys and public patrons. Basic responsibilities also include maintaining the library’s electronic resources; assisting in the maintenance and development of the law library’s web page; planning, promoting and expanding the use of technology by library staff and patrons; acting as liaison between the library and IT departments; creating and implementing electronic library user surveys; and identifying, evaluating and participating in the selection of electronic resources. The Access & Public Services Librarian will also participate in the faculty services liaison program; supervise student clerks while on reference duty; market library services and materials and engage in professional activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: J.D. from ABA accredited school and M.L.S. from ALA accredited school. Thorough knowledge of legal research process and legal bibliography. Strong service orientation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 1 year of law library experience.
SALARY: $54,000 – $58,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
