One for the Ladies: Chippendales Appeal of PTO Trademark Application Rejection Starts Today at 10 AM

Chippendales Chippendales has appealed the PTO's rejection of its trademark application for its cuffs-and-collar configuration (image left). The PTO refused to register the apparel configuration for "adult entertainment services, namely exotic dancing for women in the nature of live performances" on the grounds that the design is not inherently distinctive. [Analysis of the PTO decision.] The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board will hear the appeal on December 4th at 10 AM.
