Congress Goes on Summer Vacation, Travel Plans to Wally World Canceled
Congress adjourned Friday for its five-week summer recess. Nice job if you can get it. Did your elected officials do enough? According to a recent CNN/Opinion Research Corp poll, 77 percent of the country disapprove of how Congress is doing its job. See CNN's analysis: Will voters punish Congress for coming up empty.
One CNN iReporter wrote ""In fact, every new promise that the new members of Congress ran on to get elected remains exactly that, an empty promise. I have to laugh when I recall the self-righteous finger waving of [House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and company. Now go on and enjoy your vacation, you earned it." A negative McShame campaign and the whining about the media coverage have helped the McSame gang. The democrats have plenty in their arsenal. Lets see according to President Bush and VP Cheney, Wall street got drunk which resulted to the mortgage crises. Bush failed to take away the keys from Wall street when Bush claims that Wall street got drunk. Bush claims and admits Americans are addicted to oil. Now Bush/Cheney are going to push primarily for more oil so that our oil addiction problem will be solved in America. The (2)two oil men in the White house know that all profits for the oil industry are good only for the energy corporations of the oil sector of America. Will Americans keep defending America in foreign lands so that the oil profiteers can continue to think or care less about the struggles of Americans. No doubt that terrorism is a threat to America, but bullying Americans thru patriotism so that oil corporations profit during war times is not America… and I will not vote for McBush!
