A Quick Look at the Homeland Security Digital Library
The Homeland Security Digital Library (HSDL) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office of Grants and Training and the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security. The HSDL collection (registration required) provides quick access to important U.S. policy documents, presidential directives, and national strategy documents as well as specialized resources such as theses and reports from various universities, organizations and local and state agencies. The resources are reviewed and selected by a team of homeland security researchers and organized in a unique homeland security taxonomy. HSDL content includes state-of-the-art multi-media offerings and other valuable assets identified by CHDS master's degree participants and instructors.
The HSDL collection is accessible using full-text searching and browsing with Advanced Search and Browse by topics based on a unique homeland security taxonomy. In addition, one can filter results by topic, geographic region or event. Registration is required to access the digital collection.
The Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security also publishes the quarterly e-journal Homeland Security Affairs. [JH]
