EPA Jumps the Gun, Begins Closing Libraries Before Congress Approves Budget
Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility is reporting that the EPA is "moving ahead this summer to shut down libraries, end public access to research materials and box up unique collections on the assumption that Congress will not reverse President Bush’s proposed budget reductions." What the h.ll is going on. These libraries are the total resource for all data regarding environment data collected since Nixon's time. They are used by scientist, researchers, lawyers, activists and the public. The records have not been converted to disk and the librarians are an essential part of the access.
Who is going after the administration....I am contacting my elected reps and the media....This is huge!!!
