Alford Appointed Professor and Associate Dean of Library and Information Services at Charlotte Law School

Duncan Alford, Head of Reference at the Georgetown University Law Library, has been appointed professor and associate dean of library and information services at the Charlotte Law School. Prior to joining the staff of Georgetown, he was the Law Librarian and European Union Specialist at Princeton University, and a Reference Librarian at the Columbia University Law Library. Before deciding on a career in law librarianship Duncan was a partner in the law firm of Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson in Charlotte NC and Rock Hill SC, and practiced corporate law in Atlanta, GA.

Charlotte Law School, which opens its doors this fall, is a member of The InfiLaw System, a consortium of independent law schools. According to the Charlotte Observer, the school will be announcing the location of its temporary facility shortly.
