Not Your Ordinary Best Seller: President's Budget Now Available

Just the facts: The Budget document is 352 pages long. The "fine print," that is the historical tables, plus the Appendix and Analytical Perspectives, total another 2,048 pages. This four-volume set costs $264 in hardcopy; you can buy each volume separately but why would you. Save your money. You can purchase the CD-ROM version (background music featuring the late Dean Martin) for only $21. I don't know what the going rate on eBay is.

The President's Budget of the United States Government, Fiscal Year 2007 is available on GPO Access at: http://www.gpoaccess.gov/usbudget/fy07/index.html. Documents are available in ASCII text and Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF), with many of the tables also available for separate viewing and downloading as spreadsheets in Excel (xls) and comma delimited formats.

Copies of the President's Budget are also available for purchase from the U.S. Government Online Bookstore at http://bookstore.gpo.gov/collections/budget.html.
