Job Opening: Assistant Librarian, DC Firm

The Washington, D.C. office of Holland & Knight LLP has an immediate opening for an Assistant Librarian. The ideal candidate will be a team oriented individual skilled at organization, communications and able to handle multiple tasks. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.

Responsibilities include: assisting librarian with daily operation of the law library, cataloging acquisitions, assist attorneys and paralegals with computer research requests, interlibrary loans, assist librarian with processing orders and invoices and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: MLS, Library experience (Law firm library experience a plus). Other qualifications - thorough knowledge of original and copy cataloging, experience with standard word processing, thorough knowledge of Lexis, Westlaw, the Internet and other other on-line resources needed to support library activities, good written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
