Lee Peoples, Guest Blogger at Out of the Jungle This Week
Law Librarian Blog contributing editor Lee Peoples is guest blogging this week at Out of the Jungle
Lee's guest appearance coincides with the publication of his article, The Death of the Digest and the Pitfalls of Electronic Legal Research: What is the Modern Researcher to Do? 97 Law Library Journal 661 (2005).
His posts will discuss the study that is the basis of the article. The study found that the opinions and performance of modern legal researchers do not support the traditional notion that print digests are the tool of choice for researching legal rules while electronic databases are best suited for finding cases discussing unique factual situations.
Lee's day job is Associate Director for Faculty, Research & Instructional Services, Oklahoma City University Law Library
