A Quick Look at the Supreme Court Nomination Blog

Now that Deep Throat has been identified the most popular guessing game is who will be nominated to the Supreme Court when the Chief Justice retires. The Supreme Court Nomination Blog is fulfilling the need for information about potential nominees and more.

We intend this blog to serve as a clearinghouse for information on the process of nominating and confirming a Supreme Court Justice. Some of our posts will simply attempt to keep up with all of the relevant press coverage and interest group advocacy. But we will also add our own coverage and analysis. -- The Editors

The blog, which only went online June 6th, publishes profiles with quite a lot of background information, including, significant decisions if the prospect is a sitting judge, video of Senate debate over the prospect for sitting federal judges, when available, and links to published criticisms and praise.

Not all prospects are federal judges. To date, the blog has profiled Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Senator John Kyl (R-Arizona). I'm waiting for the Ken Olsen profile.
