Murder in New York

This morning's New York Times has a fascinating article on murder in New York City.  The article (available here) reports on an empirical study done by the police of the 1,662 murders committed in the City between 2003 and 2005.  Don't miss the click-on graphic map associated with the article, but be aware that the map will take a relatively long time to load, even with a broadband connection.
