Invitation to Participate
The St. John's Law Review, the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development (JCRED), and the St. John's Journal of International and Comparative Law, in conjunction with the NYU Center for Labor and Employment Law, the St. John's Center for Labor and Employment Law, The Ronald H. Brown Center for Civil Rights and Economic Development, and the St. John's Center for International and Comparative Law, invite legal educators, practitioners, and others to participate as panelists and speakers and to submit papers on a range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • The historical origins of Title VII and its current effectiveness
  • Reforms or amendments of Title VII in terms of its scope, implementation or interpretation
  • Important cultural, sociological, and societal changes wrought by Title VII
  • Title VII's international impact and import

Submission Guidelines
If you would like to participate in the symposium as a speaker, panelist or paper contributor, please review the full Call for Participation at www.stjohns.edu/law/titleVIIsymp and submit yourcurriculum vitae and an abstract of 250 words or less through the linked online abstract submission form by October 1, 2013. Selected participants must submit their finished papers toSJUTitleVII@gmail.com by February 1, 2014. To include a broad range of papers, we ask that they be limited to a maximum of 8,000 words, exclusive of footnotes.
