June Unemployment Figures

Hiring The Department of Labor released its June employment data today.  The unemployment rate rose to 9.2% from 9.1%.  The private sector actually added jobs, although a less-than-expected 57,000.  Many of those were offset by a loss of 39,000 government jobs.  In short, the labor market still looks pretty stagnant.
