HSBC's Whistleblower Leaked Client Information Via Internet

Business Insider reports that "Hervé Falciani, the French-Italian whistleblower who handed over information on 100,000 HSBC client accounts to French authorities in 2009, has published a detailed account on how the transfer of the data actually took place. 

Also see the data and statistics from Business Insider's earlier reporting of the tax evasion and money laundering investigation of HSBC's Swiss operation, and how much has been recovered by each country thus far such as -  

100,000 — HSBC client accounts under scrutiny related to tax evasion and money-laundering investigations of £78 billion — the accounts' asset total.
