Uruguay Convicts a General

General Miguel Dalmao, who was a 23-year-old lieutenant in 1974, was convicted in Uruguay for human rights violations during the country's dictatorship.  He was sentenced to 28 years in prison for the murder of a communist professor.  Uruguay: General is Convicted, N.Y.
