AALS Programs on International Law

Aalslogo As reminder to all the international law professors attending the Association of American Law Schools (AALS)  annual meeting in San Francisco in January 2011 - there are a number of interesting international-law related programs being offered this year, including an all-day "International Law Year in Review" program on Thursday, January 6 from 9 am to 5 pm.  The program is shaping up quite nicely with many interesting speakers and current topics in international law.  Earlier that morning, Pacific McGeorge School of Law is hosting its annual breakfast for international law profs, along with the Teaching International Law Interest Group of the American Society of International Law.  The International Law Section will hold its business meeting on Friday, January 7 at 7 pm.  On Saturday, January 8, the International Association of Law Schools will host a discussion on "Core Values in Challenging Times - Transnational Perspectives" at 8:30 am.  Later on Saturday, at 3:30 pm, the International Law Section of AALS is hosting a panel discussion on the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Medellin v. Texas and post-Medellin developments with respect to U.S. treaty practice.  Hope to see many of you there!
