ICJ Decision in Costa Rica v. Nicaragua
The International Court of Justice issued a decision today in the dispute between Costa Rica and Nicaragua regarding navigational and related rights. The court ruled (inter alia) that Costa Rican tourist and commercial boats have the right to travel along the river that defines part of its border with Nicaragua, but that Nicaragua has the right to regulate the river traffic.
