WTO: Public Able to View First Meeting in Apples Dispute from New Zealand

AustraliaNew_zealand Logos_2   The World Trade Organization just announced that at the request of the parties in the dispute  between Australia and New Zealand on apples imported from New Zealand (WT/DS367), the dispute panel has agreed to open its first substantive meeting with the parties and third parties.  It will take place on Tuesday September 2 and Wednesday September 3, 2008.  Click here for more information

Happy Anniversary, ABA Section of International Law

Aba_intlaw The American Bar Association Section of International Law celebrated its 75th Anniversary as an ABA Section and its 130th Anniversary of being formed as the ABA Committee on International Law.  A spectacular black tie dinner was held last evening during the ABA Annual Meeting in New York.  We'll have more later on this great event.
