California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said today has filed a lawsuit challenging President Trump's decision to rescind the 5-year-old Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Here is the AG's press release, with a link to the complaint. Maine, Maryland, and Minnesota join California in suing the administration. The complaint alleges claims for violations of Due Process, the Administrative Procedure Act, the Regulatory Flexibility Act, Equitable Estoppel, and Equal Protection.
The lawsuit comes a week after 15 other states, led by New York and Washington, filed a similar legal challenge.
The University of California sued the Trump administration last week for its rescission of DACA.
