Immigrants in Detention Centers Are Often Hundreds of Miles From Legal Help

In a January executive order, President Donald Trump promised to expand detention as a form of immigrant enforcement.  Patrick G. Lee on Pro Publica discusses the problems immigrants face in securing attorneys while in detention -- often in detention centers in remote locations such as El Centro, California, Florence, Arizona, Lumpkin, Georgia, and Oakdale Louisiana.
