WaPo: "Immigrants Are Going Hungry So Trump Won't Deport Them"

In this Washington Post article, Caitlin Dewey describes the drop in food stamp enrollment amongst immigrants across the country, the fear of participating in food stamp and other public benefits programs, and the uncertainty created by a leaked, draft executive order that would treat the receipt of public benefits (including food stamps) as a basis to deny citizenship or even as a basis for removal by expanding the interpretation of the "public charge" grounds in the immigration statute.  (For a Migration Policy Institute of the draft EO, see here). The piece also discusses the comparatively lower rates of food stamp receipt by immigrants compared to native-born Americans.
