George Washington Law School Hosts Naturalization Ceremony

On Monday, March 24 the GW Law was the setting for a naturalization ceremony held by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in coordination with the law school's Immigration Clinic and Immigration Law Association. Twenty young people between the ages of 14 and 22, representing 15 countries, were sworn in as U.S. citizens. The ceremony featured remarks by USCIS District Director Sarah Taylor and her Special Assistant, Yadira Suazo; Interim Dean Gregory Maggs; Immigration Clinic Student Attorneys Carly Sessions and Jessica Leal; and Immigration Law Association President Jenna Brofsky. 3L and Immigration Clinic student-attorney Jessica Leal gave the keynote speech at naturalization ceremony.
