Black Alliance for Just Immigration Needs Bay Area Organizer

Job announcement: BAJI Bay Area Organizer

The Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI) is a racial justice and migrant rights organization which engages in education, advocacy, and cross-cultural alliance-building in order to strengthen a national movement to end racism, criminalization, and economic disenfranchisement in African American and immigrant communities. In the San Francisco Bay Area, BAJI has a number of initiatives in Oakland, Richmond and San Pablo. Throughout the years, BAJI has built strong relationships with community activists, faith leaders, civil rights leaders and immigrant rights activists. Given these relationships and BAJI’s long-range goal of alliance building between African-Americans and immigrants, BAJI is seeking to hire an experienced organizer. The BAJI Bay Area Organizer will be responsible for implementing the BAJI strategic plan in consultation with BAJI staff, BAJI Organizing Committee members, and strategic partners in the Bay Area. She/he will show leadership and commitment to BAJI guiding principles, framework, analysis and implementation methods.
