Singer heartthrob Justin Bieber has been making the news lately for possible criminal mischief, specifically the egging of his neighbor's house in southern California. In light of the damage done to the neighbor's house. the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating a possible felony charge.
An immigrant from Canada (and previous ImmigrationProf Immigrant of the Day), Bieber may face possible removal from the United States if he is convicted of a felony. The media has begun to pick up on this possibility. Click here and here for details.
Technically, Bieber is in the United States on a nonimmigrant (temporary) visa known as an O-1 visa, which is issued to noncitizens with "extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business or athletics."
