Vigil and Posada at West County Detention Facility

From Rev. Deborah Lee and CLUE:

This coming Saturday, December 7 at 11 AM, we will have a Posada, a Latino Christmas tradition where Mary and Joseph's difficulty in finding an Inn in Bethlehem is commemorated.  There will be theater, singing and a reenactment in front of West Co. Detention Facility.

Just as Mary and Joseph had trouble finding room in the inn before the birth of Jesus, immigrants today are having trouble finding "room in the inn" in our country.  Bring your noisemakers to let the detained immigrants know we are protesting on their behalf

Christ the Lord Episcopal Church, Pinole and Iglesia Episcopal Holy Trinidad, Richmond will be leading this Saturday's Vigil. Music by Francisco Herrera (Trabajo Cultural) and Daniel Pinell.  We hope to see you there!

When:   Saturday Dec. 7th at 11 AM Where:  West County Detention Facility
5555 Giant Highway, Richmond, California

If you are able, please bring a grocery store gift card for the 54  immigrant workers who have been recently fired from Jack in the Box because of an I-9 Audit.
