Obama to Back Immigration Reform in Speech in Las Vegas Today

Following up on a proposal by eight U.S. Senators, President Obama today will voice his support for immigration reform in a speech in Las Vegas at 11:55 PST todayCNN reports that, according to senior administration officials, the President will not introduce new legislation at this time; rather, he will press for quick action on immigration reform and share more details about his own reform proposal. The White House may consider introducing its own legislation should the Senate plan fall apart.
