Change.org Voting on the DREAM Act
From Mark Silverman of the Immigrant Legal Resource Center: I am voting for the DREAM Act and the other proposals below. Thanks to the DREAMACTivist group for providing us with this information.
VOTE FOR THE DREAM ACT!!
For DREAM Act students and Allies! – CHANGE.ORG
Change.org has pledged to pass on the top 10 ideas on their site to Obama on Inauguration day. They have implemented a two-round voting system, round one ended on January 1st. After over 7,000 ideas and 250,000 votes the DREAM Act idea finished in 8th place with a whopping 2219 votes!
Round 2 began on January 5th, the 10 ideas with the most votes will be presented at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. as the "Top 10 Ideas for America." In addition to getting the ideas to Obama, change.org has pledged to form a national campaign for each of the issues. They have promised the support of their partners and their over 200,000 members!
Voting ENDS January 15th!!!

How to vote
1. Go to the above link, www.change.org/ideas/view/pass_the_dream_act_now
2. On the left hand side of the screen you will see a blue box "Vote", click on it.
3. A registration screen will pop-up, it'll ask for Name, E-mail and Password.
4. You are now registered and can click on the blue "vote" box to vote.
4a. after registering an account you have to go to your email and confirm the registration.
5. Pass the link on to friends and family so that they can vote, as you just saw, registration took no longer than 15 seconds!!
We are also urging that members vote for both of the other immigration reform ideas. Follow the above steps and vote for:

Actually Charles, the Dream Act also benefits immigrants in the United States waiting in line, immigrants from those countries you mentioned i.e. me. It also benefits legal immigrant children as well.
America is their country.
