DOJ Complaint faults Long Island Police for Failing Latinos

In a complaint to the U.S. Justice Department, the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund  Justice contended that the Suffolk County Police Department, where the hate crime against Marcelo Lucero took place, discourages Latinos from reporting crimes.  For the full story, click here.

Professor Aldana's grammar needs fixing. The "hate crime" allegedly took place in Suffolk County (and not in the Suffolk County Police Department). Illegal aliens have overrun Suffolk County, but I do not think their numbers are such (yet) so that a crime would be committed in the confines of the Police Department!
