Thank God!
These illegal aliens are depressing the wages of low-earning U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.
These selfish people are also spitting in the face of millions of aliens waiting their turn to immigrate to the United States.
May we see 100 more such raids before the end of the year.
May we also see vigorous prosecution of the enabling employers in these cases.

Ha, you are right...the plant will certainly hire White people now and pay them more money.
Actually, they will probably close their doors. Leaving them to have to fire the white managers and other staff.
But you wont be following the situation that far, and neither will Lou Dobbs....see the towns where immigrant raids are being done and see ghost towns with no revenue and NO GROWTH.
Probably not the best time to be shutting down factories and putting people out of work...raid the jails, anything else done by ICE this year, while criminals sit and truly "feed off the system" is horrible policy by the agency.

If they are unable to survive without "slave" labor, it is better that the factories shut down today. Importing illegals does nothing to solve the structural problem (dying industries), but only delays the inevitable shutdown while at the same time creating new problems (bilingual education, excessive use of public benefits, fraudulent documents, drunk driving cases, etc.) It is better to amputate now, rather than kicking this can down the road for five or ten years.

The largest immigration raid in U.S. history occurred yesterday at a Howard Industries plant in southern Mississippi where they make transformers (link). There were almost 600 arrests, with around 100 of those being released for humanitarian reasons.
And, according to Holbrook Mohr of the Associated Press (AP), one of those arrested said that fellow workers applauded as the raid was happening. Not only that, but the raid was apparently initiated by a tip from a union member.
Expect leftwing supporters of illegal immigration to tip-toe around the last two data points. As for the reporter, he spends most of his time trying to portray the illegal aliens as sympathetic victims of our laws rather than looking into the legal workers whose wages were impacted by the large presence of illegal labor.

'We should crack down on employers who are hiring undocumented workers because they are more responsible than anybody -- they're more responsible than anybody. They're creating the magnet that is leading these undocumented workers to come here.'
-- Barack Obama
This article is yet another example that if you're going to have limits on immigration, it's best to not wait decades to start enforcing. And it's also best to have preventive measures so that there is as little 'cure' (detention/deportation) as possible. If that is the primary tool then you are going about it wrong. Unfortunately, we have it backward with our ounce (if that) of prevention.
