San Francisco's immigration sanctuary policies inane? Not when considered in context of the anti-sovereignty illegal immigration whacko proposals known as Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

..Grant citizenship to people who've shown utter contempt for the laws of the people by violating our borders.

..Ignore forgery, misrepresentation of citizenship and other laws upon insistance of the friends and families of the law breakers, many of whom broke the same laws to get here only a decade and a half ago. We might expect the newly amnestied to try that same scam on future illegal aliens years from now. Would other criminals get such a pass on their transgressions? I think not, but the insanity of doing so seems lost on some Americans.

..Suggest that this country can be bought off with a pathetically small monetary penalty like some cheap corrupt civil servant in a sham program called earning citizenship. And to boot, all-the-while rewarding them with the ability to to stay in this country and work. I wonder if other foreign nationals who would like citizenship, but have to await our nation's call would call this "earning" citizenship or the few dollars paid as penalties really punishment. I'll bet that they'd consider it a bargain as a cheap entrance fee. Such penalties are merely sop to ignorant and naive citizens and give our weak and corrupt politicians cover.
