Senator Menendez on the raids before Senate

ICE says, "We do our duty without bias to race, gender, religion or country of origin."

Menendez says ICE is biased and the arrested are "targeted because of their race, targeted because of their color."

While it's hard to prove intent, it's easy to see what the end result is from which we can draw a conclusion. Simply compare the % of Latinos in the illegal alien population to the % of Latinos being arrested by ICE. If the only people being arrested are Latino/as then we need to find out why. If the arrest breakdown is roughly proportional to the overall illegal alien population, that fact would back up ICE's claim.

Just because a lot of the immigration arrests are of Latinos does not indicate racial profiling since a majority of illegal aliens are Latinos.
